HNC Graded Unit;

A three storey house location at Granny Green Steps in Edinburgh behind Edinburgh Castle. 

The house was designed for clients Mr & Mrs Townsley, who were looking to have a new family home built within the centre of Edinburgh on a hilled site.

The main objective of the project was to design a house that met the client’s needs, yet provide a light and airy design inspired by a minimalist style.

Due to the location, being a steep hill the design of the building is split over 3 levels that are imbedded into the hill. This also doesn't hid the view of the castle from the street below, but helps to make the most of the site.
